Anthea was most recently Managing Director (Indonesia, Malaysia & Singapore), Omega Performance Inc, a Washington DC-headquartered strategy and performance-improvement consulting group for banks and financial institutions. She also double-hatted as the Asian Lead of the Global Corporate Responsibility Board for Informa Plc (parent company of Omega). Prior to that, she held key business leadership roles with multinational organisations such as Pearson Plc, New York Institute of Finance, Terrapinn Group and United Overseas Bank.
She was also Founder/CEO of a Singapore-based education consulting/technology company, Knowledge Director Group, and Inventor of award-winning cutting-edge rapid authoring technology to create game-based and interactive learning content. As CEO, she was also Principal Consultant for three high-profile education transformation projects with Singapore (FutureSchools@Singapore), Taipei and Kaohsiung (School of the Future) governments.
For 9 years, she was straddling between corporate leadership and active volunteering/social entrepreneurship. In Dec 2013, she chose to focus on the latter to fulfill her aspirations as a life coach and social entrepreneur. Formerly a Board Member of UNIFEM Singapore (now UN Women), Anthea is currently elected President/Chair of Board of WINGS (Singapore’s only VWO singularly focused on empowering women to age with confidence, especially the vulnerable and disadvantaged) and Founding Board Member/Honorary Secretary of Daughters of Tomorrow (a young charity focused on creating livelihoods for underprivileged women in Singapore and Asia). She is also actively involved in various roles with: Northlight School and Institute of Technical Education (partner/mentor), Very Special Arts (advisor/partner) and aLife (advisor/partner). Previously, she sat on the steering committee of Bankers with Vision, a volunteer-run outfit that brings together bankers in the region to contribute experience/expertise to NGO-run microfinance institutions. A Certified Microfinance Trainer herself, Anthea also volunteered her leadership coaching skills to the COO of a Cambodia-based microfinance institution over 2 years. In March 2015, she was appointed as a member of the first Social Sector Productivity and Innovation Council under the National Council of Social Services, Singapore.
Since 2009, she has founded several community and mission-driven projects including Project Yoga-on-Wheels (yoga for the underprivileged and disadvantaged), Playground of Joy (integrated virtues-yoga education for children, especially with special needs), and Circle of Bliss (a weekly community meditation session). She is currently having a jolly good time with three brand new social impact businesses through her investment outfit, The Anagami Group: Hush TeaBar (Singapore’s first silent teabar to bring silence and awareness to the modern lifestyle facilitated by hearing-impaired employees); The Good Food Org (a natural/healthy food micro-entrepreneurship movement to empower the unemployed/unemployable); and Anagami Wellness (a natural living/elemental healing and education centre for chronic and degenerative diseases, especially the needy).
