Blanche was appointed Secretary-General of Social Enterprise Summit (SES) in February 2017. Prior to joining SES, she was the Vice President of Group Strategic Marketing and Communications and the CSR Lead of DBS Bank in Hong Kong.
Blanche brings with her some 20 years of experience from corporate communications. During her stint in DBS Hong Kong, Octopus Holdings Limited and Shun Hing Group, she excelled in stakeholder engagement, corporate communications and events, and led some notable projects such as DBS RMB Index, Hong Kong-ASEAN Summit, Octopus Partner Awards and Panasonic Cup Race Day. She was a trained journalist and her early career as a court reporter gave her a competitive edge in handling issue management and media relations.
With a passion to serve the needy, she also developed an array of CSR projects that benefitted thousands of underprivileged kids, youth and single elderly through Octopus Kids’ Nurturing Programme 2008-2010, DBS Social Enterprise Experience 2010-2014, and DBS Horticulture Ambassadors 2016, etc. Her social innovation journey started in 2013 when she initiated DBS Social Enterprise Advancement Grant (later named DBS Social Innovators) which provided funding and incubation supports to local social innovation projects.
Blanche obtained a Master’s degree in International and Public Affairs from the University of Hong Kong and was graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications (Journalism), Hong Kong Baptist University.
