Gary Chan is no stranger to start ups. Having successfully been involved in starting up a dozen for-profit and non-profit companies (and failing in half of them), he deeply understand what is required for businesses to become successful and is passionate about mentoring and investing in businesses that are involved in creating shared value and bringing scalable solutions to reduce inequality and solve real-world problems. Gary was conferred the Phoenix Award in 2000 by the Economic Development Board and has been a mentor for many technology startups in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. Gary currently also leads consumer marketing for Microsoft in South East Asia, where he has the opportunity to bring Microsoft’s mission of empowering every individual on the planet to achieve more to life.
