Rezal is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of PT Rimba Makmur Utama, a forest conservation and restoration company that runs the Katingan Proiect. Previously he was a partner and co-founder of Starling Resources where he provided consulting services on sustainability issues. Rezal got into impact investment as one of the original investors that launched East Bali Cashews in 2012. He has been also an active board member in a number of social enterprise and non-profit organizations such as Yayasan Kopernik, Yayasan Lengis Hijau, Lini and others. In 2010 Rezal was one of the three finalists for Ernst and Young Social Entrepreneur of the Year. Rezal holds a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Hawaii and a bachelor’s in City and Regional Planning from Cornell University.
