Stanley Kwek – Lecturer, Republic Polytechnic
Stanley is a firm believer that no student should be left behind. He enjoys engaging young minds, and helping them explore and make the most of the opportunities ahead.
After graduating from the Nanyang Technological University with an Honours Degree in Accountancy, he joined KPMG as an auditor and then the Ministry of Education as an education officer specialising in the areas of innovation and enterprise.
Over the years, Stanley has developed entrepreneurship curriculums for various secondary schools using a diverse range of tools that produce effective learner and trainer guides in area of innovation and design thinking.
In Republic Polytechnic, Stanley has taught a variety of modules from Economics, Entrepreneurship to Social Innovation and Creativity. For the past two years, Stanley led the annual nation-wide inter secondary school entrepreneurship competition titled National Pushcart Challenge that has been running since 2006. To date, close to 800 students in more than 50 schools have since participated in all these programmes and initiatives.
Stanley is currently working with various secondary schools in training their teachers to enable them to develop their own entrepreneurship framework and deliver entrepreneurship education to the students.
