Announcement of shortlisted Idea and Enterprise category teams in the 2017 Challenge

The social enterprises featured in this listing are shortlisted participants of the 2017 edition of the DBS-NUS Social Venture Challenge Asia – An Asia-wide competition for social enterprises, organised by NUS Enterprise and DBS Foundation. The challenge identifies and supports new social ventures that have the potential to generate positive, scalable and sustainable social impact.

From 1082 entries submitted this year from 27 countries, 32 innovative ideas and 60 great social enterprises have been selected to proceed to the next round of judging, bringing them closer to being one of the top awardees in the region.

Online voting period

Mark your calendars for the online voting period to pick your favourite ideas and enterprises, which will be held on the AsiaForGood by DBS Foundation website on the following dates:

  • IDEA category 14 Aug – 1 Sept 2017 — Online voting on the Top 10 Idea teams will form a proportion of the judges scores in selecting the top 2 ideas!
  • ENTERPRISE category 4 – 22 Sept 2017 — Online voting on the Top 15 Enterprise teams will be used to determine the AsiaForGood Readers’ Choice Award winner, who will receive a special prize at the Awards Ceremony in October 2017!
